....this has been up before  ....not certain but don't think these are EB steering wheels  ....and he knows it :?

But doesn't seem to want to say it.....not sure why :?

ebay item 260305808261

read his feedback.....4th Nov (postage has gone up to  )

Steering wheels <74 look the same as >74 but different splines or something

has anyone bought one a knows different :?

shame £45 would be a lot better than the £100 JK want for one..

ive got one and it wont fit any bus ive tried, ive got seven in the yard all different years and no go, i even had a rummage round megabugs and tried all the column but its not happening....
I have since heard that some have been cut with the wrong thread, apperently they are a golf spline, similar to late bug n bus but different enough to be a problem.
these ebay ones may be one of the dodgy batches that dont fit or might be hunky dory, just be careful as £45 is cheaper than £100 but if they dont fit.....
BTW the finish on mine is bloody marvellous, shame it dont fit

i got one and have the same problem....

did you try it on a later column? i have a late one coming from FBI but think ive wasted my money

I hope not  but they way he didn't answer the question made me think  , if you don't know you don't know :? but he didn't seem to want to answer  ....I hope you haven't  but if they don't fit anything and no one else spends money on them then hopefuly the thread will have been worthwhile.... :|

The measurements are right for an early, but by the sounds of things the splines are cut wrong.

If they don't fit then shouldn't he/she b reported to Ebay. I know the advert is vague but that doesn't excuse him/her for not amending when a buyer says it is wrong.....

ive tried early bay columns, late bay columns, ive even had a go on T25 columns and all years of bugs, the bugger dont fit! its annoying as its such a sweet wheel!

damn....

he swears his other buyers have no problem fitting them to a 75 and later bay column but he still wont post that they are for later buses!!!!!!!!!!! its too suspect :( .

FBI Graham is sending me a later column to see if mine will fit, and if not ebay and paypal are getting a complaint :x

i asked him and he never came back to me either - so i will be sticking with my oroginal shiny cracked on instead.

i got a 79 column just incase im gonna try it tomorrow, if it doesnt fit ill be asking my money back regardless, he cant sell stuff outside the description :( which is what it seems hes doing he also told me that others had no probelm with the wheel on later bays? :?

............I guess most people (and I would have been one  ) would have though bargain buy that....stick it in the loft till i want to change them over  .....hence they look the dog danglies but alas until they are fitted no one knows how good they are...........

quality is perfect and the wheel is solid, its the spleens and its a non removable part so machining would be expensive/impractical not to mention much more expensive than a similar wheel from JK, i should know if mine is of any use in a few hours :|

they are top quality bits of kit but sadly they dont fit, i can see quite a few popping up for sale at shows next year

Got this last weekend, should look good on an early bay.

that is the 'Flavor Flav' of steering wheels 8)

got a late 78 column from Graham at FBI and SK is right, it categorically DOESNT fit, raised a complaint with fleabay and paypal and am waiting to see what resolution he puts forward

how is the spleened section 'fixed' to the wheel? could they possibly be removed and swapped?

the splined section is cast into the main hub and that extends up into the arms themselves.
mine came from a customer who bought one of the first released and it just dont fit, you cant get it to fit either. ive ended up restoring a good OG one for him as he (understanderbly) wont buy another, his one was the full £100!

its utterly shameful, i cant belive how the write up said he isnt sure what they fit as the boxes were missing or damaged but knows enough to sell them as T2 bay window wheels

keep us informed johnny

....isn't that something to do with the stomach :?

Don't think you get it out............not without ruining the wheel.

hope you get your cash back
