There's almost two threads in one here.. a) best car owned b) best car driven.. My answer to a) would be my current daily, A VW Golf MK5 2.0 GT TDi... it's practical, comfortable, handles superbly, goes like hot snot and returns a min of 50mpg even when you drive it like you stole it! My answer to b) is more tricky to answer...I've had a lot of hire cars in my line of work, they are usually rubbish but occasionally you get given a gem... at the moment I am tempted to say that the Jaguar XJ8 is the best car I've driven.. but oh! Hang on a moment, whilst typing this I've just remembered another that beats this.. the Aston Martin DB9.. now that was nice, even if the experience lasted only about 20 minutes!
