For Sale Ex German fire service trailer - Vintage accessory for your VW Bus
Year of Manufacture 1964.
This trailer was recently decommissioned from the German Fire Service and I have imported it to the UK.
All interior equipment and fittings have been removed leaving a large empty box which can be fitted out to suit your purposes or to your desired style.
The trailer originally had a NATO style tow hitch (suitable for a truck) but this has been converted to a standard type. The new hitch is a high quality cast one and lockable (2 keys supplied).
The trailer has a 'retro style' roof mounted rack which is a metal cradle with a base of wooden slats.
It has a pair of 'barn doors' at each end for easy access to the inside.
Tyres are in good condition with plenty of tread.
External dimensions:
Length=188cm (including tow hitch=248cm)
Width=135cm (including mudguards=177cm)
Height=161cm (including roofrack=175cm)
Internal dimensions:
Length=177cm / Width=126cm / Height=114cm
The trailer is 50 years old and has seen active service and so is not perfect but is in geat condition for its age.
It is a very solid construction and is testament to the build quality of German products of that period.
