Hi,

I'm going to look at a scooter at the weekend and if successful I was hoping to put it in the bus (after taking middle rear seats out) and bring it home.

My question is, will it fit in? Anybody ever done it?

Cheers,

Mike

Don't get too excited - the scoot I'm looking at is nothing vintage or anything. Just an plain old ET2 50cc (2005 yr). The idea is to use it to/from train station in the winter/rain - when I'm not using pushbike.

That’s ok, but we still wanna see the pics of someone doing something slightly unusual in their bus. I used to have a Chrysler Prowler bicycle, ala chopper style with extended forks and a bigger back tyre than I had on the bus (almost) and it looked as cool as a penguins dangly doo dahs but was so ackward to ride because you couldn’t really stand up to get a good head of steam up. But back to the main point, I could not get this in corner to corner because of my cool box and my rock and roll bed/ seat combo. I used to take him to shows and have the front wheel in between the seats which made second gear a non event and gave me a three speed box, looked great but I gave it away in the end and left it with a sign on it next to a skip at Dubs At The Castle, went in about an hour I think
So I reckon you might have to take the back seat out too so your back wheel goes over the slopey bit that hides the noisey cupboard. Plus exposing your seat belt mounts which you might need for tie down straps to stop your scooter wandering about on its repatriation to yours.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, So,,, in short ,,,,,, we’d like pics thanking you  ;)

I should think it would fit mate.

My mate Hem got a drag bike, tools and a weeks provisions in the back of his split

I see from FB that it fitted ok - nice one :D

I collected my PX150 in my Westy. I took the buddy seat and sink unit out and with the side panels removed it went in. Just as well really as I hadn't got a Plan B

It was a snug fit (left the rear seat in) - which was good as all it needed was a couple of wheels on either side to prevent it from toppling over - and yes, I did drive very carefully :D

Going to see another scoot this weekend too LOL!!!!
