I was able to re-tap the thread and nut and (correctly) replace the belt. On another occasion the wipers weren’t functioning properly, I used kitchen foil to wrap onto the wiper spindle which tightened the wiper arm and got me home (in heavy rain) Other than that I carry the usual spares including clutch and accelerator cables. Also of course  a long breaker bar to undo wheel nuts. </blockquote>
