WANTED: Radio bracket

PO used two massive joined together jubilee clips to secure the radio to the dash, but it's not very secure (there's nothing holding the back of the radio to stop it sagging), hence I'm looking for a bracket or bar, whatever was used for this task. I can't find any mention of it on the usual microfiche parts sites so I don't know what it looks like. The Javelin 9044 multi-band (FM-VHF, SHORT, medium & long wave) mono radio installed in my family's 1973 VW Type 2 in August 1975, was solely held in place by the facia-plate and the large nuts on the volume & frequency control spindle's threaded sleeves.

Thanks for the info. The early dash is slightly different and more curved than the '73.

In the 16 months since I requested info, I found out the there is supposed to be a radio 'stay' bracket that connects the bolt at the back of the radio (which you can see in your picture #4) to the firewall possibly via another embedded bolt or more likely a metal tapping screw.

In the end I just put the jubilee clips back around the radio. It seems secure enough.

The Meccano like support bar that fixes to that bolt / stud on the back is all you need as long as it’s held snug in the aperture on the dash.
