Hi after a pair of 2ltr type 4 heat exchangers, the van is a 72 but the engine is off a later bay. It has the roundish flange rather than the later oblong flanges.

There about 200 nicker each from GSF wondered if any one had any for sale, NOS or parts left over there wanting rid of.

Any suggestions

hey mate, i think i still have my old type4 heatexchangeres. they are original and not reproductions and came off my type4 2L out of my 72 bus. they have been seriously patched and will need more patching.

i have heard that some people buy the cheaper replacements take the outer skin off the new ones and graft it onto the old heatechanger. the reason for this is that the original heat exchangers have much bigger fins, hence a better heat source.

if this is an option for you then let me know and i'll try to figure out how much i want for them.

hi mate ive a set of heat exchangers from a calli bus so not rotten . are you after the type that has the raised oval tube that mates to underside of the head or the flush fitting flange type ? hope that is explained well enough ? i have the latter type flush flange £100 the pair . cheers steve

Hi,

After some type2 2ltr heat exchangers for my 72

There the oval flange type with the copper rings?

I cant get on with tuning and finishing engine off with out them so any one got anything?

I know I asked a few weeks ago but thought I 'd try again.

Also after the main heater pipes from the heat exchanger neck to the body, sound proofed if possible???!?!?!?!?!?!

Many thanks

Ryan
