I've just sanded my van flat and used Ankor wax on it as a sealer.
It looks great but when I wipe it down I'm left with smears.
Do I have to much wax on?
Or would a good rub down sort it??

If it's on external paint work you'll have to keep buffing it till it's visibly gone. I'd rub it off using a thinner and then re do it with a quality car wax or it will always be filthy.

Ankor wax is terrible stuff - attracts grit and dust and never makes the bus look clean.

My bus has FK1000P liberally applied to the wheels, paintwork and patina areas and its a fantastic sealant - all after a good wash, foam and dry

As Clem says - rub it off back to the paint using thinners and start again

Have a look here

Google it for some reviews - I wont use anything else now as a protector for my bus

Collinite wax works for me, detergent proof and great beading, apply 2 or 3 times a year.

After speaking to Toffo (Pete) I've tried this stuff (Collinite) and it is great, but requires a lot of effort but the results are great. 8)

Wash with shampoo + rinse.
dry and quick polish with autoglym resin polish or something similar.
Then the Collinite for the extra shine.

Will only need topping up now and again after that. (This is advise that was passed on and it duz work)

If you want a good easy clean go for the Meguires range, its awesome too.

8)

But there are lots of opinions on this subject..... Next!

I like to use the autoglym HD wax, seems to last as well.

Cheap as chips autosmart platinum for me like!
Nice n easy to put on & take off.
Then a blast off with the hose every week!

I use Inspired Automotive Glasique wax on mine, 95% of my car cleaning products are from Inspired because its all good stuff.
