just got back from a weekend in the lakes, brilliant, the van did me proud,no isues at all.the new westy interior was fantastic, what a fantastic design, the steering box made it a great drive in the high winds and the engine never skiped a beat.70-75 most of the way back

we got some great weather on saturday and managed to concour scarfell pike so thats another one ticked of the list.the rest of the time the weather was pretty crappy and the wind and rain on sat night was exstream.all in all tho had a good weekend.

is was great this morning just driving of while everyone else was packing there soggy and muddy tents away,

my vans megga

stayed at fell side farm glenrriding, was a bit boggy all 3 of us had to push the cars/van out.we got a good spot in the end tho, good showers and good location for a walk to the pub, will defo use again.site was a bit damp but are first choice had flooded so im guessing most of the sites were strugling with the amount of rain, not loads of flat spaces but im guessing its not allways that busy.dont seem to have any of the site and van :? the weekend is a bit of a blur but i usually get pleanty of the van, heres one of us on ulswater and one of us at the top of scarfell pike

Great stuff, Ullswater is my favourite lake, I might try fell side farm next time I go. I generally stay up at Pooley Bridge end, we went in Mid July & got a pitch on a hill but it was still boggy, mud seems to get everywhere :(

Ever tried staying at Brotherswater Inn just up the road towards the Kirkstone Pass?
Plenty of hardstanding, and the pub does excellent food too :D

whoops it was gillside farm we stayed at.

most of the time we stay in patterdale or glenridding, really like the area alltho looking back we should have stayed closer to scarfell as it was 1h45min drive before we started the climb
