What colour should my Dormobile pop top be ?

Hi all,

I'm in the process of doing my first respray. My 68 Dormy is going to be all Lotus White as original. Does anyone know if the fibreglass pop is suppose to be the same colour, or a different white?

Also how much paint would I need to spray the whole van? (cellulose).

Dont paint the roof unless you really have to!! (IMHO) If its not in too bad shape and just a bit stained / mouldy etc it can be cleaned with a powder cleaner (used to clean fibreglass boat hulls with) available from Tim at Dormobile 01794 830831. Mine came up really well with a little elbow gease and in my opinion looks ten times better than a over-shiny painted roof -looks less "clinical" if you know what I mean.

Hey, thanks for the advice.

I will certainly give Tim a call and get that cleaner. The pop is in fairly good condition, however I have had to sand over a few blistered areas. Do these need any treatment, or can you just use the boat cleaner over the top? Wasn't sure if it needs sealing at all?

Sorry for all the Questions, but this is my first resto attempt, and have never delt with fibreglass before.

Not sure about blistered areas as mine didnt have any but I am positive that Tim will be able to advise - hes a really helpful bloke too; whenever I've phoned him I've always been on the phone for at least 20 mins as he offers so much advice!!
