What gauge cable

I am re wiring in the engine bay before putting engine in. The live cable from battery to alternator is shoddy. What amp and gauge should the new cable be please. Cheers

You should be good with 16mm², 24mm is a bit inflexible

Standard drawing suggest a 9awg cable - I used 8awg as it is a more common size when re-wiring mine. 6.0mm2 is as per Bentley wiring diagram.
