i brought some 1k etch primer for my bare metal areas and now been told that celly will react with it.... is this true? if so does that mean i got to strip all the etch primer off??

I'm not sure, but if it was me I'd spray some of the etch primer onto some scrap metal then try the celly on top to see if it would react, you've nothing to loose doing that.

Hi There Crosser,

No you'll be OK with painting anything over a 1k etch primer.

If it says on the tin that it contains either Tolulene or xylene then its cool.

The term 1k only means that it has no second part ( where as in 2k you have both the topcoat and an activator)

If your in any doubt do as sucram says and carry out a test panel.

Good luck,
Stuart.
