I found one in southern Spain & another in Belgium under events.The Spanish one i dont understand yet :?: The sites in Spanish :roll: The Belgium one i wanted 68Euros??When it says 35Euros???

My camper is just that not a dragster nor offroader :shock: Id like to meet other campers/buses & look through the bootsale for parts.Anyone been there?? :?: Is camping on site in a camper included in the 35€?? To pay that i have to check "offroad" or "drag" :mad0025: :?: :?:

As the sun rises above Spain Portugal Italy & Greece i will be heading for France where there should be some meets to be found soon.Is anyone going to France this year :?:

I cant afford to get back to the UK but i can recommend being stranded in France.Once you understand the French its good,many sites with power & water are free during school holidays :!: :!: otherwise 2€ to 5€ the places without are the best 8)

Hi beachbus, your travels/explorations sound great - something I am hoping to do this summer; renting out the house and driving round Europe in my van, West France, Spain, South France, Italy etc... Departure is set for mid June with no plans to return, yet...

I was looking for events while we're away and those two you mentioned don't quite fit in with our plans so keeping our eyes open for more.

Good man!!

I know it's a Belgium site but I didn't expect to see so many their!?

For France this summary by combiblanc on the vw-camper.fr website might be useful to you http://vw-camper.fr/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=80" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you have a few days off in August, I recommend SCC in Norway - Scandinavian Cal Look Classic Show from 14th to 16th of August. Don't be fooled by the name, it is by far Norway's largest VW show and all aircooled VWs are welcome.

It is held at a drag strip, but this not a traditional drag racing event. If you like drag racing, you can see aircooled VWs race all day and if you want to, you can try yourself. You don't need a big engine, even VWs with original engines are welcome to have a go. This year they are introducing a new bus class, and we are stoked several Bays from the UK are coming over to race (I say "we" as in the Bay community in Norway, I have nothing to do with the event).

If drag racing is not for you, there's a huge show'n'shine area for all aircooled VWs, a Vintage Lounge with pre 1954 cars including amazing war time VWs. Personally, me and my fellow Bay friends will makeing an awsome Bay camp :)

If you like, you can easily ignore the racing and spend the weekend as you would any VW show. Norway is a small country and all aircooled VW enthusiasts gather at the SCC no matter if you are into racing, no matter what kind of aircooled you like, or style. From all the international visitors going to SCC08, I have heard over and over again how they were impressed by the camaraderie and Norwegian hospitality at the meet. It is a different kind of VW show than you are used to.

And if you come, you should combine it with a trip to the Western parts of Norway and see the amazing fjords and mountains. In the days before the SCC event, we invite anyone who wants to join us for a tour of the most amazing parts of Norway - seeing all the sights and making stops at VW friends all over southern Norway.

I can guarantee you a VW meet you will remember for the rest of your life :)

Here's some pictures and posts after SCC08 on the Cal Look forum:
