Had a hiccup in the bus on Friday on the way to Vanwest, driving down the M5 when I seemed to loose power, felt like I ran out of fuel, the tank was low but at least a gallon or two.........pulled up on the hardshoulder and had a look round. Engine still running well ect. This happened a few hundred meters from the services so in I went and filled up. Back on the road and all was well. The concensus is that the Brazilian fuel pumps come with a pushrod that is made of cheese and shortens in no time meaning the pump is barely moving fuel especially when you dont have the added pressure of a full tank of petrol to help. So either I find a german pushrod or go electric. Anyone have any advise on what to use, which regulator ect? Im running 40IDF carbs on a 1776. Thanks Just
