Hi all,

I'm looking at replacing the wiring loom in my LHD '72 Deluxe.

I'm getting a 2110cc Type1 engine built for it, so I'll probably have oil temp & pressure dials to go in.

At the moment I have a split charge system fitted which the modern radio and a 12v socket run off the leisure battery

What are my choices? Would anyone recommend any of these? Any others out there?

Peter Good at Volksgoods. Top guy and Top quality. Had my loom made by him and more than happy. He's a very knowledgable guy who will make whatever you want. He also provides wiring instructions.

I'm in the process of fitting a rapidfit loom.

Positives are, comes with a modern fusebox and wiring, modular look design is useful when fitting.

Negatives so far are that it's been quite tricky matching old to new wiring colours (included ref data isn't perfect), rear loom doesn't have light etc connectors so all need to be added and missing a couple of dash connections which I've had to add.

Not connected a battery yet to see how it performs one installed.
