I emailed Neil from http://www.whitewallingtyres.co.uk/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; about doing my tyres. He is based in Manchester :( but would be happy to travel south :) to do them but it would need several people in one place who wanted their tyres done to make it worth while. In Manchester he charges about £60 for 4 14" tyres and it takes 1+ hrs per set. Needs Electricity and shelter.......

So......

a) does anyone know someone more local :?

b) anyone else interested :?

Thinking about this myself, however I'm already near manchester, sorry. Thanks for the link.

Do you know anybody who has used him. Would this be better than the inserts you can buy?

Hi!

I may be interested - though my tyres are nearly new, they are not the ideal size, i fancy a change of size, back to stock maybe from the 175/70/14 to 185/14. Though could still do mine, they are nearly new after all!

I am in Wincanton.

i have used Neil and the end result is far superior to using flaps, there are pics of my tyres in my thread on the gallery. Nice bloke top service very recommended.

Thanks Ant, just found the pics in your thread. Just a thought has the MOT man commented at all about cutting into the side wall? I know its only a small amount.

Your Bay (frank) is lovely and that 300c cool wonder where it is now?

cheers for the comments:)

Its not cutting its more of a light buff and i mean light, hardly any rubber is removed its only to make a smooth surface for the vulcanised rubber paint.

Bay area rods used to offer a similar service, aren't they a bit closer to you lot?
