Anyone fitted a roof rack to the back of their westy pop top? not sure if they fit.
Pics would be good.
Cheers

hello bud, hope you don't mind but what with your board name i thought you'd be a good person to ask. Having recently sold my t4 i now have to cart my windsurfing kit to the beach in my dormy, something i'm not so happy about. Do you take your kit in yer van? I HAVE A 2 BOW rack on the back end but need to somehow secure the front of the board and rig bag, any suggestions?

I use reuseable cable ties (lock/unlock) on my surf board day tripper bag.So if you have a bag for your gear there could be somewhere on the van to fix it to ???

Hey Dude,
I take my Windsurfing kit in my estate car so can't help sorry. To be honest, I'm doing more surfing than windsurfing recently, it's just so hard to carry all the equipment round for windsurfing. I have a wave board and freestyle board, 5 sails, 4 masts and 2 booms. The least I would take to the beach is my 96L board, my 5.3,5.8,6.9 sails, 1 boom and 2 masts. They wont fit in the Bus and would barely fit on top.
The only thing I could suggest for you is to put a rack on the front as well, that does stop the roof from elervating though. Maybe I'll see you out sometime, planning a trip to Sandbanks this summer :D :D ;) :D

i put my 107ltr board with a rig bag with x3 sails x2 masts and boometc etc all in the van with the seats down (and all lined) but if i carry on doing that i'm gonna wreck the interior. thought about putting a single bar across the front but think my board is not long enough to cross the free span (i'm at sea at the moment so cannot measure!) Starting to consider crossing over to kite surfing coz all the gear will just easily fit in the van!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, don't turn to the dark side  Windsurfing is great but there really is too much stuff. Like I said before, Surfing is more appealing just for the ease  1 board is simple 8)
