Hi,

OK simple one but i'm struggling as always. I have bought a 2nd hand head unit - Sony CDX-GT100. Have red, yellow, black and blue wires on the power loom. Other research seems to say red is 12v yellow ignition, black earth, blue ???.

So I have 1 fuse marked as radio in my 68 bay fuse box. I put the red and nothing yellow and the some noise from the cd motor. Which wire goes to the designated radio fuse and where does the other attach too.

Also is it possible to use the same point for 2 earths or do they have to be different?

Cheers in advance

Chris,

Yellow - constant 12v (to keep your stations and sound settings etc. in memory)

Red - switched 12v (when ignition on)

(you can run red and yellow together to a permanent live if you want music when parked)

Black - chassis/earth

Isn't blue 'mute' or something?
