Hi all, I found this site awhile back. You guys rock. Im a veteran of a couple of bay window restorations. I decided I like the lowlight models better strictly because I love the look of the early bay. I had a mint '79 westy poptop that I sold in the summer, and another mint '75 transporter that I sold in '06. I have been feverishly seeking my next baby, and I think I have found her. I live in California, yeah, good pickens right? Not. Ive been scouring craigslist for months and bought up a couple of maybes. I buoght a 69 savannah beige westy pop top with a hit nose and a 71 pastel white westy pop top with a bunch of rust. After reading the posts here, i was ready to make a go of the '71 rust and all. Then, I came across this little nugget. 1972 Sierra Yellow tin top westy, no rust and completely dry. I really like this bus. Take a look and let me know your thoughts. Oh, and ill be parting out the others, so if yall want some yankee parts PM me and Ill ship 'em over!

Cheers J

Hello mate and welcome

welcoe to EB, looks like you got a good one there. Good to see more international eb'ers makin a show

Thanks for the welcome guys. Ive been reading with interest here for a few weeks, you guys have more fun and do really nice looking updates over there.

Im going to buff that sierra yellow and run with the OG paint, install a set of drop spindles up front and have fun with this one. I will put a repro westy rack on too.

As for the parts busses, here are a couple of shots of them. PM if it makes sense to send any bits your way. Im not sure about shipping and customs etc.

white is 71, brown 69

Your joking those are parts buses  Ive seen worse for sale through dealers here.

By the way nice looking project, OG paint rules. :D

Yeah, I know, I love that pastel white 71, its complete and a strong DP 1600, some issue with the transaxle, and its got the rust spots and Im no welder. I hate to part busses, but Im thinking I can use the funds for the '72. If you guys make me feel guilty enough Ill throw them back up and try and find a buyer. Problem is, the buyers who call are just the guys who cut em up and make a bunch of money off the parts.
