Hello earlybay-lovers,

I'm a vw-freak from holland and reading and looking around here for al wile.
November 2009 I bought my first bus  The last 12 years i had several typeIII, notch, fasty and squarebacks.
My last one was a 1964 notch with a 2109cc engine, that one is sold and now it's Westy time.......

In June i will Marry my girlfriend en were going on honeymoon with the bus to the North Cape (Scandinavian) so i have plenty to do

I bought the bus on ebay USA and imported the bus my self. It's a three owner original Westy with all documents. It's repainted ones and very solid. The plan is to do all the mechanicals, repainted the under carriage (to protect it from europa wether  ) put it on 944 brakes. lower it and clean it up a bit..........

Started in november 2009 with dismantling now i'm working on the brakes, here are some photo's of the built till now:

Time for a update, i'm starting the build-up:

Front beam is almost ready, placed the new needle bearings, put on a new steering-pin.
Put on the steering house, the pedals (brake and clutch).
Build the rear drive train with new bearings, 944 brakes, horse shoe plates, new bushing on the spring plates etc, test fit the Gasburners with 195/65/15.
Cleaned the cabin floor, nice original 40years paint.

Photo's say more than words
