Got all the doors fitted up, mostly good but some more tuning will be done to the fit at some stage, fitted engine, had forgot the fuel pump and coil had been borrowed for another car a while back, once I get those and a fan belt will be able to see how the engine is

Got most of glass in this week, rear quarter window was a pain, bus now starts and moves under its own steam, some judicious spacing has let me fit the rear overriders on the front, looks fine

Look good John are you pleased with how it is going ?

It's all going back together well, next big job will be to fit the new canvas and get the roof on, thinking of using some fleece for insulation between body and interior trim panels, has anyone else used it or seen a thread about it?

Hi!

http://forum.earlybay.com/search.php?keywords=soundproofing+and+insulation&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I soundproofed and insulated mine, but may rip out the insulation and fit something else, I have a massive bag of sheeps wool i may use, but thoughts about condensation may prove ptherwise....

Have a look at my thread, the last few pages, I think pg10 onwards you'll see what i did with flashband...

There is a interesting thread on thelatebay forum about it too:

Thanks for the links, I have same concerns about anything other than a nice air gap, at least the fleece is pretty oily!

Hi!
Really nice bay! The color looks great on your bus! Witch type and size of tyres do you have on your bus?
Best regards
Reto

can you show me (/us) some more pictures of the interior?

I have a replica 356 in mango green and this interior colour. i am doing the outside of my early bay in L346 and L90d and am trying to convince my wife of this interior scheme.

thanks.

I'll get some more pictures up, but only have from seats in just now, thinking of doing the headliner and interior panels a bit darker than they should be so less of a contrast with the Tan Vinyl and Cherry Veneer, that 356 rep looks splendid!

Finally she is back, worth the wait, paint is superb, managed to get a couple of hours tonight doing stupid stuff like trying the wheels on fitting front badge etc, problem fitting front bumper though as the overrider is touching the body before it is bolted up, will need spacers made, has anyone else came across this? Thanks john

Just reading this, I've had to pack mine out between the front bolt and the chassis, had to put 5 washers in because the overriders hit the front panel, I could probably get away with 1 less washer

looking good by the way
