Anyone got any tips on how to remove 4 stubborn head bolts (2 each side) from my engine which I am refurbishing?

I remember doing mine many years ago. Had to use a breaker bar as they had been torqued down. I used Wd40. Walked away had a brew and gently applied pressure until they started to move. I have a 2ft bar. I will say I was really scared that they would snap.

I’ve used a punch on other bolts. Hit the head with hammer and punch in the centre give it a shock.

Impact wrench

I think that because the block and the studs are different materials then heat would be a good option.
