    my 71 had late arches, only found this out after trying to modify an early one. late ones should go straight on, crossovers had their own type.

    the switch on the master cylinder under the cab has probably stuck. they often do the quality great. luckily they are cheap and easy to fit

    Also the original pulleys dont leak oil. Much better to get timing light with advance built in.

    If you can get the cold air flaps to seal properly and your door seals and pedal seals are good you stand a reasonable chance of having a warm cab. Also having genuine HXs and fully sealed pipework makes a lot of difference.
