You will need to replace the float. If it is getting fuel in it then it will not shut off fuel supply to the bowl. That will be why you are suffering hot start issues. Your fuel mixture will be off. It will be like trying to start a hot engine with the choke on.
Cheers Ozziedog. Flaws is probably the wrong word. Just a list of niggles that I want to sort. Most of them I would need to point out for the casual observer to know they were even there but let's be honest the work will be a never ending rolling list but that is part of the appeal to me.
