Just got renewal from RH .Last year £120 this year £86.00 ,paid up prety quick in case they changed their minds .

This is my method .First undo the lock nut and unscrew to a position where the nut is just above the screw thread of the column, sitting in the seat I put my knees under the wheel with a block on the floor for my feet , pushing up under the wheel hard, give a sharp tap square on the lock nut...

Done

I carry a rubber mallet, and when this happens to me I would make shure the van was in neutral ,and whilts I hammered the motor my wife turned the ignition key,It always worked for me. Good luck,.

Sounds like a slipping clutch,a worn clutch plate

Could they be for seat belt mounting

Hi, thought I would say hello as I'm new to the site. I have a72 dormobile owned for the last 7 years ,done some work on her new engine clutch brakes , all the usual maintanance .I have just retrimed the interior units and fitted a hot start relay , I need a good run to test it out.
