Hi
Up for grabs is parts of the original Danbury conversion from my '71 van:
1x buddy seat on a sliding base (sliding mechanism supplied) with original cooker and grill (untested) incorporated in the buddy seat, with back rest and two piece foam cushions covered in a dark blue floral pattern...
What about re sale? Is the bus worth more with the original interior than a modern and spacious interior? Defo going to keep the Danbury Interior and rescue it from the allotment shed even if don't put it back in!
Hi
I scanned my 1971 Danbury interior plan here : http://barbarathevwbus.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/ancient-bus-manuscripts.html
Doesnt have dimensions however
I am actually thinking of ditching my old interior Danbury for the respray but will definitely keep it!
I wrote about my dilema in...
My '71 Danbury early bay is now undergoing major structural work in preparation for respray, and the original very tired and battered Danbury interior has been ripped out and is now in the allotment shed quietly rotting away and growing mushrooms. Do i do the 'sensitive' approach and stick with...
Can i just check you still have stock before i set up the payment?
Also just got a pair of 'ratlook' overriders. The rubber is all cracked or missing and has a metal plate backing to the centre rubber piece that srews into the overrider. How do these one fit? Do you glue them on?
cheers!
Tommy
My 71' Danbury and ultra close up shots of rust, filler and peeling paint in a what i would call the equivalent of VW granny porn. These were shot on my Windows 7 camera phone and then photoshoped
I put my new/modern strereo in an amo box slung under the dash on driver side (only the driver can control the music!) and left my old vintage tape/cass in the front.
Cleaned of the paint from my 40 year old emblem ready for paint, it looked so gnarly it inspired these photo's.

Have posted an illinformed (im a newbie, forgive me) blog about why an early bay is the best choice of a camper/bus : comments welcome, especially on the blog

Sorry for not posting sooner, got a bumper from Simon in Southend, very happy with it, blog about it here : http://barbarathevwbus.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/pull-up-to-my-bumper-baby.html
Thanks guys, in regard to the year i am now a bit confused after having my M-Plate decoded, it says its planned production date was May 1972, however it was first registered in 1971.
