One Sacramento owner from new, 78K OG mile 1968 poptop Westy

I just found an early split I want more than this bus, so it's up on the block. Price is $15000 USD, around 9000 Sterling. One owner from new, they stopped driving it in 1988. The pictures do it a bit of justice, it is unbelievable to find a bus in this condition. Serious inquiries only...

    Pinking when hot

I think 7.6:1 will be great, you'll definitely ditch the pinging then! I was pretty sure the heads were suspect. If I were in the business of selling used rebuilt heads I would mark the cc for each cylinder in pen right on the box.

Another Sacramento gem! 1 owner 68 Westy 73K original miles!

My wife put her foot down and told me that we WILL be camping in this bus. Bought it from the original owners, now in their 80's. Last driven in 1988! One little ding around the left taillight, no other damage. Only rust I see is surface rust under the windshield. Was sold new at Wes Lasher...

    Pinking when hot

I'm leaning toward two possible causes... What 009 is it? One of the new Chinese ones? Brazilian? German? I've read articles that have tested the different manufacturers of 009 distributors and found them all (when compared to a German built one) to have a few degrees of error in the...

    Flat Spot What to doooo??

My engine builders grind their own camshafts for twin port engines to avoid this problem. 34 Pict carb and 009 distributor straight on with no mods, no flat spot. After the engine is built to factory specs, the only cure I've heard of before is adjusting the accelerator pump arm to engage...

1972 Crossover Deluxe American Camper Adventurewagen

Up for sale, a driving original 1972 Deluxe Microbus fitted from new by Adventure Campers. This one is rarer than most, as they didn't lob off the whole roof skin and add a fiberglass hightop. The area to the right of the engine lid has had some bodywork, and has rust bubbling above the bumper...
