Spoke to Dan. What a great guy. Chatted about exhaust and eventually got on to carbs. He might just have a spare pair of 44 idf's going cheaper than 40's at the moment so could be a double bonus. Plus he gives good discount and Daz trusts him so could free up a few quid towards the exhaust price.

Early Devon easy cool cooler. I've taken this out of my van as I prefer the space and wish to fit a captains chair. Trouble is I haven't a clue what it is worth. Any advice on a fair price to sell it for would be greatly appreciated. I need the cash to fund new exhaust. Thanks Yellow

Thanks. My engine has just arrived at VW performance today. Daz did mention that the standard exchangers will restrict the flow a little. I don't know if I am being to anal about getting the best performance. Bigger bore exchangers are expensive and there are more items on my wish list.

Thanks for the advice. I've checked out the vintage speed with hidden tail pipe. Looks well made and is good for 125 bhp. The only problem I can see now is that normal heat exchangers will restrict my exhaust flow. Have you any advice experience of the bigger diameter heat exchangers. Thanks Yvm.

Hello. I am looking to get a 1776 built for my 69 bay. I basically want to be able to cruise at 70mph and have a little extra left to be able to get out of trouble. Can I presume that my gearbox will not have adequate gearing. My engine is a 1600.

I am about to start gathering bits for my van rear end i:e. engine exhaust gearbox etc. I want to be able to cruise at 70mph with a bit in reserve and still drive around town. I live in Scotland and all but one of the shows are accross the border hence the cruising speed requirement. Just...
