    gearbox

Its not too bad a job but gearbox oil is nasty, smelly stuff You'll need a new seal or two as well. I think its just the input shaft seal (easy with the bellhousing off) and the paper gearbox seal. If you ring and get them from bears gearboxes they will talk you through it Good luck Seb

    Granada Scorpio Seats.........

Sports car seats are best as they are not as high as normal car seats. I've got some audi tt seats and they work well measure your seat base height and don't get anything higher Seb

    Hi-torque Starter Motor?

You can use a golf tdi starter There are two types an early and late One can be fitted with an easily made adaptor plate, the other if you fill and redrill the holes They are massivly hi tourque, geared, dont use an external bush and easy to get hold of, but the truth is you shouldn't need...

    Modern fuse boxes

If you can find a good og fusebox and clean it up it will be fine If not vehicle wiring products do a nice 16 way fusebox and a 4 way relay box which it together really neatly. I've used them a few times for custom engine looms asnd they're easy to use but you'll need a crimping tool Seb

    What to do next............................................?

why not get anouther dub and an engine You can fit a 2e 2ltr 8 valve golf engine for under £1k and its fast, reliable and easy to get hold of. I've done it and it leaves you a big  Seb

Steering Box for pre or post 72 Bay.

The megabug box is £250 and has been fully rebuilt so its not too expensive. Filled with grease rather than oil so no leaks for the future either Seb

Steering Box for pre or post 72 Bay.

It is doable but its a lot of work, if you can weld and fab then its not too bad, if not it would be far cheaper to get an early one from megabug

    sliding door aju

If the catch on the B post is badly set up then this can effct it badly. Try marking then removing it and see if the problem goes when it does. Then its just a case of spacing it up and adjusting it properly. Other things like poor quality door seals can have huge effects too Good luck Seb

It was a danbury, I'm well impressed! Sadly the only one bit of danbury left, the cooker was swiftly removed by my bro as his danbury was only missing the cooker  . Its a custom interier now I knew I should hang out on here more often Good luck Seb

Ignition switch buggered. Can they be stripped and refurbed?

Its a real pain to get them out. Mine went and after removing the comumn and spending 3 4 hours I fitted a GSF one. after 24 hours the GSF one broke  They happily gave me my money back but I left it in and the real key is now hidden under the dash as I couldn't bring myself to do it all...

    OLD POE - ABSOLUTLY DISTRAUGHT

I had a complete front end grafted on to my bay (luckily due to rot) and it wasn't that bad. The complete front came from the usa and went back to the B posts so all the floor, wheel arches etc are genuine! It didn't include the roof but it wasn't too expensive, the front was £190 + vat from...
