    Wiper motor only working on a single speed

    Feeling very smug. Rebuilt the wiper motor today using my £7.00 eBay carbon brushes and it works a charm. Polished-up the commutator as suggested with some fine emery cloth, greased the internals (making sure the brushes were totally free from grease) soldered in new link wires and re-assembled...

    Wiper motor only working on a single speed

    Hi I wonder if anybody might help me diagnose an issue with the wipers on our 1970 bus. Since we bought it a few months back only the slow speed works - switching to "fast" on the dash-mounted switch just stalls the motor in its cur rent position (switching off normally does park the wipers ok)...

    Discs or drums?

    Discs on an early Bay mean a rock-hard pedal, so both feet to stop quick. I've now had a servo fit too, which transforms the bus driveability completely. But like others have said, buy the right bus and sort the brakes as a very secondary consideration. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Anyone done any long term/distance travelling in their bus?

    Yes the Insurance route looks the best way to go. I'm insured with JK and they have a breakdown option, sadly it can't be added later in the year. So for now it looks like I'm stuffed and back to the RAC for an annual policy I don't need, just to guarantee up to 3 calls in our week-long holiday...
