thanks for the info so far...I need to pull the engine down and check out what is there, as for carbs I don't have any for it yet, just wanted to get some idea of a better cam than stock more low power it's not going to be a high power monster....well not at the moment.... regards nick

hi I am looking for some advice on an engine build, my long time mechanic and friend passed away back in July and have just got around to rebuilding an engine we started together. I have gone back to square one so to speak. it's an 1835cc or so I was told this is a rebuild of an engine I got off...

ok I hope this works ....here is the bay I bought needs some work but it seems quite sound on the whole...came with a beetle engine not a hanger case but it will help fund some of the work. now the question is where to start....
