    Ben's 72 Bay

No, the holes are in the window surround on the bus. You screw through the bus metalwork into the slot on the Westy window.

    Ben's 72 Bay

They are screwed through the holes in the window surround into a grooved tapered slot along the inside of the westy window. You can drill holes to match in your window surround, if you ever go back to a fixed window the seal covers the holes. The seal is just there to tidy up the opening.

    Ben's 72 Bay

I've got some fly screen and insert spare. I bought them off @aogrady on here. I'm not sure he's still around or sells this anymore.

    Other than a Bay..

I had '59 split back in 1985-88, but always had a bay since 1984.

Is it time for a new project?

Project buses, I know of a few splits and bays all with patina and minimal rust.

    Rocker gaskets

Make sure the rocker covers are actually flat, bend the bail arms to get a little more tension, and buy some thicker gaskets from here. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/314744237013?_nkw=air+cooled&itmmeta=01J5GW9C7ETCJ0HP68WVJ7KND0&hash=item494837ebd5:g:KFkAAOSwGNxa~gSN

New drums and stud thread length

Tbh, I wouldn't be happy running it like that, I would rather the stud threads show like your first pic.

Is it time for a new project?

It looks like somebody's started and then decided it's too much work, I'd dispute the original paint claim as well. If you're willing to take on a load of work and invest quite a lot of money in it then go for it.

Early bay T2 Dormobile knock on kitchen trims

The original owners of Dormobile were charged with fraud, they destroyed all records before being arrested. The current owners only have records from the time they bought the name and designs. Have you tried Woolies Trim? https://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/

    1967 Neptune Blue Deluxe

Thanks Mike, I'm pleased with it. Just a couple of little issues to sort then it's ready to go. Although earlier this year I could've set light to it. Waiting on Waboo to start the interior next.

Today was a good day. Reunited with some buddies from Blake's yard. If you're after a project bus, hit me up.

Not a good start to the day's proceedings. Definitely got oil pressure. 😂 That's what happens on start up when you don't fit a diesel oil filter. Took over an hour to clean the oil out of the engine bay, it even covered the battery. Anyway, rear tinware, valance and engine hatch fitted...
