I think he wanted the job, but probably earlier than now . He maybe looks unhappy cos since he’s been King he’s either been in mourning or undergoing cancer treatment tbf.

    Winter storage

Yeah, it’s only a few months. It’s unlikely they’ll be any disasters in that time really. Protect as much as you can, ‘air’ as much as you can, good check over before driving after a lay up and take it steady first time.

    Winter storage

Make the last fuel fill of the year Super Unleaded E5 petrol, remove as much soft furnishings or curtains as you can and chuck out any perishables in cool boxes etc. Maybe get some of those dehumidifier boxes to absorb moisture? Give a wax polish before you put it away and yes, any underside or...

    Empi 5 spoke

I had a set of MWS reproduction Empi 5's on my old late bay. The van was moderately lowered and a standard width beam. It had 185/65 x 15 tyres fitted up front and there were no clearance issues. Yes, the offsets are often not great but its not a massive problem if you go with appropriate tyre...

My 68 Westy - as time goes by .....

Yeah! I thought Frome was a pretty chill place, but right in front of us was an abandoned smashed up car!

T Thanks, they are still my old 15" Sprintstars, but with 195/80 x 15 tyres fitted.

Yes, big luxury double decker with a separate trailer for the equipment. It woke me up at 0230am when they left , and I then slept until 0600am when the glass recycling lorry arrived! :D

Last campout of the year tonight. I say last but it’s actually the first of the year too. Weathers mild and I though, ‘might as well’ :D

    1970 San Francisco westfalia resto

I'm glad it wasn't just me. (Not glad as such, but ...). I did my front arches - prepped it really well, and whilst it went on ok, its subsequently shrunk and peeled away. I took a load off last winter and brush painted the gaps to fix it up but it needs all pulling off at some point.

    Wot Shows for 2025 ?

There is an aspiration to have a line up at the new Volksworld Show and a return to Stanford Hall.

    Fuel lines

I did mine a couple of years ago. I thought then, £45 ‘ish’ seems a lot for fuel hose after all those years getting that fabric covered stuff at shows for £1 a metre or whatever it was :D Usually only two sizes you’ll need I reckon? Nice winter job on a dry day :)

My 68 Westy - as time goes by .....

Yes, I adjusted the brakes up and I have a high even pedal. They are ‘adequate’ but I couldn’t stop sharp in the event of an emergency , maybe it just needs the miles to wear them in. Hope so …. Don’t mention those indicators though, thats the real danger!

    buying with PayPal

In the past I’ve paid the extra to cover charges if I wasn’t sure. Also maybe link your PayPal to a credit card rather than a current account for extra protection.
