    Midlands Swap Meet

Good to see a few folks and early bays here yesterday. I'll pop some pics up later. Great new venue with good facilities and lots of room to move around the many traders that were there. One for next years diary.

    Westfalia Roof repair

Spikes Vintage Restorations is over that way. He does a lot of high level resto work but he may be able to help?

    Track Rods, ends and tracking.

Sounds like the kind of response you get when they just don’t want to do it!

How do you lift your van?

Axle stands for me. On the chassis as I'm doing stuff to the suspension and need a clear run at it.

    Wiring loom advice

I'm gonna lock this thread as the Op says he's not interested anymore, and its sure as anything not worth anyone falling out over. General advice - if you ask for advice and folk offer it. Either take it, or just smile, say thanks and do what you want anyway. :) But, be nice.

    Wooden headliner

Sorry, I only had the stain I used on mine which is the darker/earlier type. I think I chucked the old tin when I moved. Lesson learned. … don’t throw ANYTHING away :D

    Track Rods, ends and tracking.

I presume one track rod was fixed from factory as a cost savings measure, and to simplify the process overall. I, along with most people that have narrowed beams fitted, have two adjustable track rods fitted. No problems with it. Avoiding messing it up? Remove the arms first to replace any...

    Wooden headliner

I stained the parts I replaced to give them a coat of protection from the damp.

    Wooden headliner

That should be the much lighter wood. I did replace some wood in one and I think I kept the tin of stain for reference, let me look for it and ill try and let you know.

    Wooden headliner

What year is the bus, the 70/71 onwards were much lighter.

    Ninove

I posted about this a while back. Used to be about £100 return on Eurotunnel and £60 on the ferry. I looked to go over at the end of March, which is Easter with a premium, but I was struggling to get it under £400. Plus you now have the Easter chaos at the ferry ports with the extra checks. So...

    Ninove

Yes, pretty much. Driven to Folkestone/Dover area and got a cheap Premier Inn on Friday night, get an early ferry/train on Saturday morning and join the cruise to the Brewery. I've had a hotel usually on the Saturday night, but it can be a pain as they are often out of town and needed taxi's...

    Ninove

It’s free to walk around but if you want to park in the town and be part of the show there is an entry free . The first people in get a goody bag which has a couple of nice souveniers in , when they run out it’s just for parking. There is a gathering at the brewery on Saturday which is free ...
