    Split Charge draining battery

We use the Durite VSR relays all the time and never seen this problem before, I'd check it's been installed correctly before going any further. Are you sure you haven't got a parasitic drain somewhere in the van that's draining the battery on either the leisure battery or the starter battery side?,

    Dormobile and leisure battery questions

Hi Jules Drop me an email or pm on here and I can steer you in the right direction on the leisure battery set up, agree with sparky that the cupboard behind the bulkhead would be the best place for the gas, you should be able to get a campinggaz 907 in there

    Microsteer PAS for our buses

Not come across that kit before, looks like there would need to be some welding done and bracketry made to make it fit any early bay and I think you would need 2 straight shafts rather than the UJ ones supplied. No mention of price?? We fit Litesteer as one of their approved fitting centres and...

    Grating feeling from steering column

Please don't use grease, we strip boxes that have been filled with regular grease and all that happens is it gets pushed to the edges and no longer lubricates the bearings, we use a semi fluid grease designed for steering boxes on things like LandRovers, it's already been mentioned in this...

    Cab Door Seal Question

Never had any issues with the sliding door seals unless it's fitted the wrong around which we see on a regular basis

    Cab Door Seal Question

We will only fit the ones that Schofield's sell as close to originals, usually Viewib ones but we have had Wolfsburg West ones as well, you definitely need the ones with the welded shaped corners to keep the rain out, this applies to the cab doors, sliding door and rear tailgate. Not worth...

    New distributor problems

We see this a lot when people swap from an 009 to a vac advance, no1 is 90 degrees out from where it is an an 009, you should always set your engine to TDC before removing the dizzy so you have a datum point to see what happens when you install the new dizzy. As long as the dizzy drive was put...

    Volksworld Show 18-19 March 2023

Its a NO from me, the reason we stopped trading was that they were going to fill the hall we were in with watercooled displays, other traders also baulked and they backed down. The introduction of water cooled and Porsches is to fill the spaces left by the club displays that people now have to...

    Replacement engine

Have to agree with Karl on this one, too many horror stories of the VWEC where they don't honour the warranty and blame failures on 'installation errors', I'm aware of at least one court case against them at the moment. They also hang onto your original tinware and fit crap repro stuff. Most...

    Battery recommendation?

The 077 have low cranking amps at 450, thats why we always go with the 075 which is 540 and above, its not just about the size and orientation of the clamps its that its got enough ampage to spin the motor on a cold morning.
