    Where's folks from ?

In the last 6 months we moved to the outskirts of Bolton to be closer to family, sounds terrible but its a great area with fantastic scenery, view from the dog walk the other morning over Winter Hill.

Parts Wanted Continental Roof Bed wanted

I would have thought somewhere like Woolies trim would stock something like that, something like a press stud

    Flipped spindles

The balljolints have been modified to work with the flipped arms, the joints are not replaceable you'll never get them out, the only real option is to buy new arms with ball joints installed for the flipped spindles. All transpoterhaus orders noiw go through Cool Air so suggest contacting them.

    Lanoguard ?

With zero prep you are just promoting any rust to carry on developing, as mentioned above it doesn't contain anything to cure rust or stop it

    Lanoguard ?

Completely agree, all you are doing is trapping the rust and moisture in especially if you do no prep to the underside first.

Sold For sale: rear bench seat and z-hinges

From memory we had to put a wooden batten across to support the top end of the seat when we had a set a few years ago

    Lanoguard ?

I applied it to a customer bus and thought it was awful stuff, smells and that smell lingers, unless you heat the container up it cloggs the nozzle, I didnt think it was that good or would last very long as it only applies a thin coat, if you put too much on it drips off. I'm sure others have...

Initial engine break-in setup — running rough

Unfortunately the quality of pertronix units has gone downhill as well, save your money for a 123.

Initial engine break-in setup — running rough

I would bin the powerspark, they are cheap for a reason.

    Electrical sockets

A modern compressor fridge will happily run for 2-3 days off a leisure battery on 12V, look for a Waeco/Dometic 50, thats what we've had fitted in both our vans. They run off 12v or 240v (mains) and auto switch depending whats connected, so if you dont have a 240v mains hook up you can connect...

    68 lowering options

You can use a beam from 68 & 69 MY they are both the same, using the same bolt spacing as late split buses. Yes if you fit later disc dropped spindles you are correct the original 14's dont fit over due to the inner shape of the rim, they were only deigned to go over drums, I think you can fit...

    68 lowering options

Hi Andy The Drum Dropped spindles (not flipped) we used to be able to get hold of where 2.5" drop but do add 10mm to your track each side are made out of 2 pairs of original spindles and last the issue, drum spindles were only used for 3 years of MY production 68-70. Drop spindles don't alter...

    68 lowering options

The problem then Clem is they use the flipped ball joint set up which tends to result in a 4" drop which is too much for most people.

    Steering wheel repair

To fill in any cracks etc look for 'Milliput' modelling epoxy on ebay/amazon etc, used it before and it can be sanded & painted with good results

    Quick question on rear hubs...

Unless you are using a 3/4 breaker bar forget it, a 1/2 will never break it free, buy a slogger if you havent got access to an impact gun or air tools, its definitely righty tighty, lefty loosy on the rear :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO...

    Quick question on rear hubs...

Not quite The rears are a right hand thread, the front nearside hub is a left hand thread, the fronts tighten in the direction of travel, the rear are standard thread

    Garage Lifts

We use the lifts from Automotech in our workshop and they are great, yes made in china but they get tested every 6 months and no issues at all, I'm taking one of them with me when I move up to bolton and the other one will be for sale

    Brake upgrade

They look like standard disc spindles and brakes fitted with 112 to 205 adapters, this set up works but you need to run either modified 14" rims or 15" rims at the original drum 14's won't fit over the calipers
