Fitted Power Steering - What a difference!

We are the fitting agent for Litesteer in the midlands and have fitted a number of kits over the years, yes there are cheaper options but I prefer to fit a kit that has been thoroughly tested and comes with support and Neil and the team at Lite steer are constantly working on better solutions...

    Running like a dog

Out of interest did the instructions you found refer to the actual distributor you bought as those timing instructions are not right for a vac advance dizzy?, vac advance dizzys are set at 7.5 degrees static not at 3500 rpm and you said it ran ok for the first 10 minutes, if the timing was out...

Engine on 79 T2 seems to have seized

Yep completely agree we see and hear of so many failures from fellow aircooled mechanics and they seem to do everything to dodge the warranty. As above check its not the alternator/dynamo playing up as they can seize and that can be checked by pulling the fan belt off, pulleys eat themselves and...

    Re wire with belly pans

We use electrical cable pull rods to pull cables through the belly pans, if you still have the 'tube' in tact its a relatively easy job to pull the new loom through once the old one has been removed, its just a bit fiddly. We've done quite a few over the years.

    French Slammer shocks

You've clearly never been in a well set up lowered bay and as Sparky as said its up to the owners what they run, trying to preach at people on this friendly forum is not the way to go about things, suggest you try your luck on FB.

    Gear selection adjustment ?

simple question, are you able to rotate the gear lever slightly when its stationary, ie can you twist it in an arc?
  16. Graham L

They are bald on the outside!

The setting for a lowered bus is not as standard set up and should be toe'd in slightly and not as stock, i would suspect who ever installed also didn't rotate the camber nuts correctly,

Fitting convex glass into door mirror

I’m not sure Autowares make all the components themselves buy I know they make the mirror head and obviously the convex glass, I think your review on here is quite damming considering you haven’t even contacted them to discuss it, I know Steve well and I think it’s somewhat unfair to post this...
