The one I made

This is what I used for reference but I don’t have the same space between the opening and roof.

You need to bend up some 8mm stainless rod. I secured mine with some brake line brackets that fit in the space between the roof opening and the pop top. It works surprisingly well. I test built mine with a coat hanger to work out the angles.

It was indeed the seal. Changed it for a grey one from eBay and it went in beautifully. Also took the opportunity to change the dry and crusty one. Windows all in!

I liked the cars ₳ lot. Seemed empty but that's more my thing. The standard of the top cars was amazing. I'm so glad Razor Edge T3's are getting their time in the sun as these have always been my favourite VW (and the Fridolin).

Mine is a 71 but is missing the correct strap to hold the roof down. I was thinking of using a roof rack bracket (like the one above) and a strap of some kind as I need to pull the roof down further as the new bed interferes a little and prevents the seal from shutting by a few mil.

I'll call as soon as I can. This is just what I need.

Yes! That’s exactly it. I knew I’d seen it on the bus already. Also, they’re on the Westy roof to clip straps to.

My solution to hold down the roof of the bus leaves a very sharp piece of metal to get tangled on when climbing into the new roof bed. I have a new plan and would like one of these... also, what goes on the roof to clip on this?
