VDO oil pressure guage sender with dash idiot light

That definitely won’t work on a pressure sender 👍

    lares 209 coupler

I don’t know what your horn arrangement is but I didn’t use the blue link wire that came with the coupler, just refitted existing cable back to the steering box, same as it came off.

    lares 209 coupler

I managed to do mine from underneath, bolts out, there’s a small amount of upwards movement possible on the inner steering column to enable the coupler to be removed. Don’t get the old and new bolts mixed up, the ones supplied with the new coupler are imperial 👍

VDO oil pressure guage sender with dash idiot light

Yes, this was after a (cold ish) start up, the engine had been running for a bit as the temp needle is off its stop position 👍 The sender is paired with the gauge, so suspect it’s fairly accurate. I got the t piece from demon tweeks as the male thread matches the case thread, I also used a few...

VDO oil pressure guage sender with dash idiot light

I’ve just done this and wanted to keep the original idiot light and sender separate. So tee’d out of the case to give 2 outlets to connect into.

It’s funny when you see someone else’s list and think, oh yeah I need to do that too 🤣

    Ignition barrel starter switch issues

@kleinbusRonnie does it go “ding dong” when the bus starts up 🤣

    What's on your list ?

A list is a great idea, I created quite a lengthy one to work through after our first few outings and slowly worked through it. I also plan things over the winter months when I know the van is going to be laid up for a bit. I’ve just finished my gauge pod installation, so other than general...

New Bumpers - fitting and prep

If it was me Ben, and I was spending that sort of money, I’d want to get them powder coated so that the inner face is also done. I recently redid my front bumper after pranging the underside of the centre section (and part of the lower valance 🙈) so decided to take all 3 sections back to bare...

Fuel pump relay and other starting issues

The Oil switch is a grounding circuit. Unplug the wire from switch and turn on ignition and the lamp should be off. Ground the cable against the casing and the light should come on. If it doesn’t you have a problem with the wiring. If the wiring is ok then it must be the switch 👍

Is this our club members in this video ?

That’s a great video 👍 it’s bonkers that I recognise some of the vans yet I’ve never met the people 🤣 One day 👍

Fresh engine build damaged after 800miles (engine builder refusing to fix under warranty)

… and that was 10yrs ago, makes you wonder how many engines they’ve sold in that time and how many have been “overheated” warranty failures?

    Winnie - Our 1970 Bay

Decided I needed something else to worry about and had my eye on the Aircooled Acessories Oil pressure gauge to make a matching set with the Oil Temp and Tacho. That’s the trouble when you run a multicore from front to back and only use a couple of cores 🤣, the spare ones are nagging to be...

Fuel pump relay and other starting issues

Hope you’ve not put LED’s on the indicator tellbacks too … that’ll have you chasing your tail if you have 🙈. Have you proved that the oil light lamp is working as hose lamp holders are a bit of a faff
