    Wow!

I've looked in on earlybay from time to time over the past few years but not really visit any forums to the extent I used to, it's just a time thing and probably because many are simply less active than they used to be. However the recent changes to this site have definitely pulled me back aided...

    Deluxe trim bits

OK no problem. At the risk of asking a stupid question... Is this £45 for rubber, alu trim and glass as per the photo, or just rubber and alu trim as per the description?

    Deluxe trim bits

Might be interested in the side 3/4 trims, do you still have the 1/4 pop out windows or are they toast?

How long have you owned your current bus?

We acquired ours early 2007 and it's still a favourite toy. When he was 4 our little man made me promise we would never sell the camper van, it was an easy promise to make ;)

    1967 Neptune Blue Deluxe

A black 996 and a Neptune Blue Earlybay, I'd say that was the perfect combo ;) I spotted you popping up on the 911uk forum. I've had mine for a couple of years as a daily and it still makes me grin every time I jump in it, they're good fun.

What's the difference between these two new rear drums?

You'd think that would be the easiest avenue to a concise answer wouldn't you? I queried this with them some time back by phone and the individual I spoke to wasn't sure. So I messaged them via the website recently and they didn't answer. If you've bought them from JK and that's the packaged...

What's the difference between these two new rear drums?

Thanks chaps, I was assuming that second option were probably the CSP drums. Undoubtedly they are top quality being CSP, my current drums have gone oval hence the need for replacement so I'm probably more in the mind not to fall into the trap of 'buy cheap, buy twice'. £300 for a pair of brake...

What's the difference between these two new rear drums?

Two 205 bcd rear drum options from JK to fit a '68 bay, the question is what makes the second option £110 better? Option 1 - £185 per pair Option 2 - £295 per pair

DRLA 36's going into our '68

I was recommended this to be the best setup for some 36's going into our van, does this sound about right? DRLA 36 1641cc Dual Port Venturi 30 Main Jets 125 Airs 180 Pumps 35 Idles 55

Tyres / Stance Thread - Lets see what ya runnin!

Could anyone hazard a guess (or know) what this is running in terms of drop and tyre sizes? Has it been notched, tubbed or both?

Tyres / Stance Thread - Lets see what ya runnin!

A slight twist on this. I'm fitting some alloy Sprinstars to our '68 so I need 4 x tyres. I know what size I want but choosing between the options is tricky when trying to compare between the aesthetics of the different options. Obviously tyres aren't just black circles, with some...

Who produces the best repair panels these days?

Hi Ozziedog, Righto, the usual suspects then. Just checking I wasn't missing a trick before I flexed the plastic ;)

Who produces the best repair panels these days?

I need to get some rear side panels/corners/battery trays for my 68. I'm not as familiar with who's producing what as I once was (looks like my last post on here was early 2018!) so wondered who is considered to be manufacturing the best panels for early's these days? I'm after a quality OE...

    Previous owners

You used to be able to apply to the DVLA for a list of previous owners. I did it for our bay and my Ghia and in both cases received an envelope full of scrubby photocopied documents that at least provided a time line with the name and the addresses at the time of the registration handover as a...

Anyone recomend a very good body shop in Bristol

I would second Peel's. The work they do is second to none and they've had a few magazine covers over the years (they do a lot of American muscle and hotrod stuff). They always have a waiting list because their work is in demand so it's not somewhere you would go for a quick cheap fix but if you...

Fitting a pop top bed, pictures please...

Hi Ozziedog, yes it would be useful to pop across and have a look before it's all covered up, I'd like to see how it's been done properly. Our's is an original Devon, but I think the pop was probably fitted later by an optimist with a tin opener. It's just a very rudimentary angle iron frame...

Fitting a pop top bed, pictures please...

I'd like to fit a bed in the roof space of our '68 Devon by placing some bed boards across the opening. I believe the pop top on ours is a retro fitted Canterbury Pitt roof and the existing framework leaves something to be desired, there's no ledge to carry bed boards and I'm not sure it would...

    Who makes replacement headlamp buckets?

Would anyone know where I can get a pair of replacement headlamp buckets for the front panel of a '68 T2? I've searched all the usual suspects but nobody seems to make them? surely that can't be the case, any leads...?
