Looking at this page on the VW Heritage site and I'm as confused as you like, could somebody define which parts I need for to recondition the gearshift mechanism on a '68 bus?

Hi all, I've just received a dual mount aerial from SSP and it's not quite what I expected to be. The mounts are really super chunky black plastic and I'm sure I've seen some out there that have smaller chrome mounts that look better. Looking at the sites of the various shops they all look...

What about a 1302s, all the benefits of the 1303 (Mcpherson strut suspension, front discs, 1600 motor) but still retains the character flat windscreen ('71 model) and metal dashboard of the older bugs which gives them there charm. Only made for 2 years as well so there's not so many of them...

My 1302s in the snow..... and thought my bro's GMC truck may be worth a mention too, a daily when it's working ;)

That looks good, I guess cloud white has a hint of blue in it rather then cream so the colours are a little more blended........ Where did you buy it, is it a rattle can colour?

Thanks for the input chaps, yes it does seem to be that cloud white is the colour that would have been original. That leaves two options, go down the oe route because it's simple and there are no decisions to be made on tone of colour, which means it can never be wrong... or Keep looking out...

I'd like a white that doesn't look too stark against the neptune blue. I was thinking maybe vw pastel white but this may be a little bit too yellowy. I've found pics with lotus white and cloud white on here but to be honest on a laptop screen white is white and it's hard to tell the difference...

I thinks that's the value of the gps tracker, you can be alerted to when the van is on the move and you're not in it!

I think Danbury are just set up to sell new vans with add on extra's for those that want to do the retro thing with big wallets, they're really the right destination for those who want retro fit parts at more modest prices. Some of the upgrade prices for simple items like jail bars etc are...

Not a bad idea, probably a lot more space in the bay given the amount of crap that we seem to have around the house. :roll:
