Guys, check the use-by date on your condoms !

Well I've ordered new ones from Buttys Bits - says they are made of neoprene so hopefully they will last as long as my wetsuit - although that seems to get tighter round the waist the older I get 🤔

    Which oil filter

Second vote for K&N , now seems to be half the price of the old favourite Fram. You can even get it at Europarts ( but make sure you check it b4 you leave the counter, I recently had a lh caliper in an rh box for my daily - guy just shrugged and said "no more in stock"

    Colour code info

L90D Pastel white is the normal choice if they've stuck to the VW chart. Cheap aerosols from Ebay etc so you could spray out on a card and see if it matches

1967 Early bay - is this rare?

When I got my 71 back in 2008 the front grill had been " deleted"- by badly tacked in metal and a bucket full of filler. Ended up putting front panel from windscreen down on it, at the time all that was available was a late bay panel and indicator blanking plates - it's not hundred percent...

    Great photo

Geezer in the top left corner (possibly Gerald) looks a bit scary, wouldn't want to bump into him in the campsite khazi at midnight !😱

    Brake upgrade

I used the VW Jim remote kit on my RHD 71. Fits under floor on passenger side, bit tight but works really well. I had belly pans fitted so had to use an aluminium tube from front to rear for the vac with flexible pipe at each end. Make sure you use the fittings supplied in the kit at the servo...

    YellowBay69...so far

Have you checked the flexible pipe ? These can collapse internally with age, particularly if it's ever been clamped to aid caliper or cylinder removal.

    Ben's 72 Bay

Nice, now if you can come up with an mod for an awning that covers the whole van so you can work on it in the rain I'd definitely be your first customer 😀

    Classic Number Plates

As far as I recall black and silver plates are only legal on pre 1973 vehicles, so why not show off the classic status 😀

    1970 San Francisco westfalia resto

Yes I get them for our "normal" cars too but they are on direct debit so they probably have to do that. Pretty sure I got one for the van last year - web sight says they want you to set up an account with them to recieve reminders but looks a right faff with passport number etc. Think I'll just...

Was there ever any doubt ? 😀 Clowns at DVLA didn't send me a tax reminder this year so just got letter saying it's not been taxed since August ! Guess they can't be arsed when it's free 🤔
