    Dynamo to alternator

You'll need the alternator, the backing plate for the fan, the pedestal the fuel pump sits on and also a fuel pump that clears the alternator. Some kits include a spacer for the stock carb too as the wider alternator body can interfere with the carb operation. I got the bits together seperately...

WTD. Air filter shelf for 72 crossover bay

I have one in bits from my 71 - It's mainly the top 50% as I cut it to remove. If you don't mind fabbing a bracket to fit it to the wheel tub it should do the job!

    Heater levers removal

I used a small pry bar to get enough force on the plastic pins. They're a real sod to do with just your hands. Sent from my PLK-L01 using Tapatalk

    Powder coat number

Your best bet is to take it to a paint shop or powdercoaters who have colour chips you can match it to. Sent from my PLK-L01 using Tapatalk

    2 x TP Fan Shrouds.

First one (left) comes with flaps. Would benefit from a lick of paint. £25 + post or collect in Leeds Second (right) has a weird angled air outlet. Would make a good donor for blanking off or modifying. Came from a bus with air con so maybe something to do with that. £10 + post or collect in...

    1971 Deluxe Import - A blank canvas

Started making up some templates for some mats for the seat tubs. I've got late bay runners welded on in a none standard position so no shop bought mats will fit. Fortunately have a firm locally called megavanmats who are going to cut to my template shape and edge them for me. Sent from my...

    Deluxe Microbus rear floor vents

Came from my 71. Not needed as I've decided to blank off and fit an auxiliary later on in life! £10 + £5 post or collect in Leeds. Sent from my PLK-L01 using Tapatalk

Engine Bay, electric fuel pump location and Oil Breather WTF.

I have my fuel pump bolted to the 45 degree piece under the fuel tank. Fuel lines then come into engine bay and to each carb behind the fan shroud. I use a motorbike fuel pump so don't have an external regulator. The relay and fuse are mounted on the left hand side wheel tub. I'll pop a couple...

    Seats

Hi Paul. Still interested. I'm definitely heading down south again either later this week or early next week. If they're still available I'm sure we should be able to sort something! Could you pm me your postcode so I can see how far off my route it would take me? Cheers. Sent from my PLK-L01...

1969 RHD Devon - I must be mad

Bus looks amazing! Out of interest, is yours a Volkswares bed? If so, how have you covered your cushions and fastened them to the bed? Is there any chance you could measure them? I've got some foam cut but clueless how best to attach - it feels a little wide at the back where the hinges are too...

    1971 Deluxe Import - A blank canvas

Changed a snapped heater cable today. Had the flap cable tied open but decided to go through the whole thing front to back and make sure it's done up tight. Bit of a pain of a job, I found the hardest bit was doing the little clip up that holds the cables in place under the dash. The rest was...

    1971 Deluxe Import - A blank canvas

I haven't been out on the road properly yet, but I set them up following a guide I found online (I'll try dig it out) with a full set of brand new jets and emulsion tubes, set the butterflies with a feeler gauge and set the idle screws before fitting. Once I'd got them on and figured out that my...

    1971 Deluxe Import - A blank canvas

I've been super slack recently. Work and family commitments along with writing my daily off have put the bus on the back burner. I got a trailer tent locally a couple of weeks ago and it's inspired me to crack on with the van - it means as a family of 4 we can still take the bus camping...

    Heating system trouble.

Yeah - well, one of them! One is snapped so I cable tied the flap open - still nothing. I had loads and loads of animal crap and nests in the van when I bought it so I'm just wondering if I've missed something under the cab - I think before I go any further I need to get that old bit of hose off...

    Heating system trouble.

Hi all, Just had the van running outside for half an hour, engine nice and warmed up but getting absolutely no heating in the cab. It's not something I've thought about before, I thought I'd got everything sorted but only ever had it on the road in summer so never noticed any issues! I don't...

    Value

I've got 2 x 100mm speakers bolted through the holes and they're quite OK for a bit of music whilst driving. Not winning any awards for sound quality though!

Hi Paul, I may be venturing down to Dorking from Leeds on Monday evening so could arrange to meet up if that's any good? George.

NOW SORTED - Wanted 1600 stock flywheel or could swap for lightened

I think I've got a stock 1600 flywheel on my shelf at work - I'll have a look in the morning if you PM me and remind me. Based in Leeds and it's bloody heavy so collection probably best!
