    68 Wiring - European Spec

I can't help with your wiring - have you checked for any other wiring diagrams that might explain the bits you have? I think there are a few versions for a 68 Bay available on The Samba (I always use the diagrams on there for my 71 US spec bus). The fans look to be 'ambulance' fans - if you...

Wanted: CSP Bellcrank Linkage Rod - 340mm (The spare one from the kit!)

Hi mate - sorry it took me so long to get back to you! Had a ridiculous week. I've managed to use the shorter rod I have for now, though it's right at the end of the thread - so if it's OK I'll come back to you after the weekend when I've fired it up and if it needs any adjustment I'll need a...

Wanted: CSP Bellcrank Linkage Rod - 340mm (The spare one from the kit!)

Hi all after a 340mm rod. The linkage I bought has been modified to use Empi manifolds so the rods are too short. the kit comes with 2 x 340mm and 1 x 360mm, I think its usually one of each that gets used. If you have a spare, please sell me it, No ones got them in stock. Can collect near...

    Which Altenator kit !

Don't think the tagging worked! I searched high and low until I found a Bosch alternator. Spent alot more than an aftermarket one but think they're worth it. I had the Alt stand in the garage from an old engine but you can find them easily. You'll be able to get genuine alt backing plate fairly...

    HELP NEEDED AT SKEGVEGAS!!!!!

Sounds like the float or needle valve to blame? If it's allowing the pump to push more fuel through it that it can hack. See if anyone has any spare carbs at all. Some of them share the same needle valves and floats

    Wanted: Stainless Exhaust

Morning all, Currently on with some engine work, the only thing that lets it down is the battered stock exhaust so I'm looking for something that I can fit and forget. Doesn't need to be super performance. A GSF or Bluebird stainless job would be good! Collection near leeds or posted if it's...

    1971 Deluxe Import - A blank canvas

Yeah get the CB ones! I've got CB twin port ones, the empi ones were a bit **** and a bit too short, the carb fouled the fan housing so would've needed a small spacer. Do you have a brake servo on your bus? I was in the process of getting my empi manifolds tapped for vac when I realised they...

    1971 Deluxe Import - A blank canvas

Going in pretty blind myself - so much conflicting info online. What manifolds and linkage are you using?

    1971 Deluxe Import - A blank canvas

Fuel pump from a Yamaha bike I think... Exhaust letting it down... On the look out for a cheap stainless job if anyone has one...

    1971 Deluxe Import - A blank canvas

Bloody hell it's been slow going... Engine out, ended up with some CB manifolds. Just waiting on vac hose / fuel hose / linkage rods before it's all back together and ready to go in. Looking much better already. Hopefully it runs OK Also debating if I should go with an electric fuel pump or...

    Alternative Seats

I've had Porsche Tombstones in my last 3 T4 vans and they were great. Also had a set from a more modern boxster that were tan leather and had full electric adjustment. If you trawl Porsches being broken on ebay you'll find cheap ones eventually. Paid £100 a pair for all the tombstones (928 and...

    1969 - GGL 468G

It does very much look like more a camper with the white top half. Cheap bits are an absolute curse - I've just replaced all my ball joint / tie rod boots after 1 year (stored indoors too!) as they were all perished.

    Twin ICT Balance Pipe?

Cheers gents - it's kind of as I suspected really - there isn't a general consensus! I'm going to fit the barbs on the manfolds and then blank them off, that way if I have issues running without a balance I can fit one without much stress. I sold my snail gauge before I bought the bus and...

    1969 - GGL 468G

Getting rid of the silver was a great move - it looked rubbish and the white looks ace! Glad to see it's MOT'd! Bet you feel like you've passed over a big hump in the road now!

    Clutch release bearing?

That sounds rough! There are a few components in the clutch that can fail - gveee has just has a part snap underneath and cause him a load of grief. I'll direct him to this thread and see if he can shed some light on it.

    Twin ICT Balance Pipe?

Hi all - Finally getting round to fitting my Weber ICT carbs in the next couple of days - just making sure I've got all the correct bits but one thing I'm unsure on (even more unsure after reading so much divided opinion) is the balance pipe between the carbs. I've got CB manifolds with 1/8...

I got mine from TheSamba - sent over from the US with a load of other bits I needed but was the only place I could find one!
