Yes I saw yours is 5k just wondering if you thought a 8k would be to much as the price isn't that much extra. But if a 5k is okay in a poptop it would be plenty on a tintop in guessing

Where abouts are you fitting the fuel tank for the heater and do you think a 8k heater would be overkill?

I think Brian has everything spot on, the race cars he attracts from Europe is fantastic and there's plenty of aircooled camping if not on display. I'm guilty of getting settled and not making a effort to join the line up unfortunately.

I think you can't really summarise from one thread, the builders van is often a gripe on the forum and plenty on here go to the bigger shows. I think this is where people go wrong trying to organize shows thinking it's what people want to find they are poorly attended.

When I first started going to shows aircooled vw's were cheap and for me and most people our only vehicle. Nowadays that's the job of the water cooled so it's only natural what's happening. Personally I go to shows in the uk based on entertainment, location and value for money not what cars are...

Got the same problem with mine, flat spot until 2000 rpm. Bogging down with to much fuel but ratio looks okay after 2000 rpm. Let me know how you get on. Have you got 2 or 3 progression holes?

I see you have a 72 so the scat tin wouldn't fit. whatever you do make sure it's properly sealed so no hot air from the exhaust get back into the engine bay.

If it's this then get the scat tin without the holes. The last thing you want is hot air getting back into the engine bay.
