    Front tyres scrubbing outside edges

I should clarify, they are I should clarify, mine are reversed BJ spindles, not dropped spindles. What difference would flipping the tierods make? I guess it would make them more horizontal, but isnt that more of a bump steer thing rather than camber?

    Front tyres scrubbing outside edges

ive got a similar issue with mine. On mine its camber that was wrong, but on setting up, foind out it cant be dialed out completely to factory spec, possibly due to a bent arm or the dropped spindles, On mine it was the offside tyre, wiped out the inside in about 1000 miles. Ive had them set the...

    Here you go.

    Rear indicator LED upgrade

I used the backup lights as indicators with orange bulbs fitted, works pretty well. I know you can get led guts for oval tail lights, I suspect its actually pretty easy to do yourself, the led strips are pretty available, and its probably been done so will be on the web somewhere.

    What's on your list ?

Build my engine back up, had the long block all together for over a year, and the bus immobilized for two! I was going to put a kompressor haus kit on it, but looking into it further, I think they need an external oil cooler to help with the heat, and the price kept rising, so im going with 36...

    My 71 ex-Westy

And so it all starts. After two years of no engine in my bay (it was donated to our beach buggy for volksworld 22) I’m finally getting an engine in it. A rebuilt 1600 with a mild cam, the rest stock. I was going to run 34ict’s, but have decdied to go for a Kompressor Haus sleeper kit. Having...

    Starter motor?

Could still be the battery. My friends Trekker wouldn't start on the key, but bumped ok. Battery had just enough juice to spark, but not turn the starter over. Most battery places can check the battery for you.

All original restoration or resto-mod ?

I had a double door split van many years ago, I put a cab back panel in behind the seats (none walk through, all the fixing holes were there already) it made a big difference to its daily driver use.

All original restoration or resto-mod ?

I've decided to get a supercharger kit for mine, on a fresh 1600. Ive spoken to a few bus owners with this setup, and they say its great. You'll still be looking at about 60-65 on the motorway due to gearbox ratio, but that's plenty in my book. I was thinking about a freeway flyer diff to drop...

    Oil leak

Ive used the fat cork gaskets and Hylomar, but they still leak. I've got the clip on ally covers, which I think may be the issue because you have to use bails supplied with the covers, but Im not so sure they work properly. I've been thinking about bolt on covers, but have heard they leak from...
