    Fair one,point taken,but having to repair the exhaust studs and sump studs on two different engines before i even used them is a bit much in my eyes. Guess i should of paid more in the first place and gone else where.

    Lots of tinware & engine stuff type 1,2 & 4

    need the connecting bar for thermostat flaps which fit behind doghouse on twinport,using some threaded bar at the moment which works fine but not OG :lol:

    Must admit it sounds ok to me but my history with engines isn't that great :msn4: :lol: Was it quieter before then?What has made you think it has got louder?? As Johnny69 and Who have suggested have you checked the valve clearances??

    Heat Exchanger Vs Propex

    I run both when the van is drivable that is. As for the heater,mine is an Eberspacher diesel unit fitted under the bed,got the idea from Stuart at Midland Paintwerks,he advised me where to fit the tank and all the other bits n bobs.Gets very hot and sounds like a Harrier Jump Jet on take off...

    Twin pipes

    I started a thread probably over a year ago now ref "Twin pipes on a Bay" I have a NOS silencer with twin outlets to go on a Beetle "came with the van as spare part" but when i offered it up it does not tally up with the cylinder heads as in it is too short :roll: i'm guessing it is for a 1200...

    throttle not returning all the way.....

    has a new carb return spring and a whacking big spring with Butty's throttle linkage.
