    Freaky electrical 'issue'

Wonder if someone can shed some light... Drove to Brighton Breeze saturday - awesome drive - 60-65mph all the way there, van was lovely after the carb rebuild, kids smiling, 24mpg, the world was a lovely place. Got to the show, hung out, did the beach and rides on the pier, came to come home...

    Fuel tank outlet elbow

Just what I was afraid off but hugely grateful for confirming it. Thanks very much. Off to buy large funnel, acid-proof gauntlets and breathing apparatus.. Thanks again, Jim

    Fuel tank outlet elbow

Just about to upgrade the fuel pipes on the Bus, using the bundle from Machine 7. However, also ordered one of these, as mine currently has a straight outlet immediately followed by a bend in the rubber pipe, to run across under the tank...

    ICT Manifolds

I got the EMPI manifolds with the kit I installed and you're right - it looks like you can't get the plug in but you can - just. It's dead easy with the engine out and possible with it in, just a bit fiddly. On mine, the barb faces forwards on the left hand carb (looking at engine from rear) and...

    For sale - Ambulance fans

I have a pair of ambulance fans for sale. I bought these several years ago and just haven't got round to fitting them and now have higher priorities. Therefore, they're up for grabs. They work perfectly - I have tested them - on both speeds. They are complete with everything shown in the...

    Under-dash shelf template

Not sure if this is the right area or not... Wondering if anyone has a copy of the template for the under-dash shelf they could let me have? Have posted and PM'd a few times from previous threads but to no avail. Many thanks in advance, Jim

    Bay window novice knowledge hungry

I was a total newbie a few years ago (not much more experienced or knowledgable now...) and without sounding sycophantic, would be in a world of pain without the level-headed help and advice through this forum. There are other forums but I gave up on those a long time ago. People on here...

    Electronic ignition

Yeah, fried it both times. Not sure quite how it happened - once was a mechanic, once as me but on both occasions, each swore blind we'd connected it the right way. Went back to points in the end. Have you got a set you can chuck in to see if it works with them?

    Its like stirring porridge....

See, I like that a lot. Was always a fan of the EMPI trigger type but am swinging now... Is that a lock on the base? Lock in gear or neutral or either?

    Top end rebuild

There seems to be a common consensus that the money involved in going to 1641cc isn't worth spending - apparently, very little or no gain for the extra cash. I have no experience myself but that's what I pick up. I did a top end rebuild a while ago and while I was at it, did a mild flow job on...

    Electronic ignition

I did that a couple of times - look for a tell-tale black smudge on the back of the trigger or the top - it usually goes properly when it goes...

    Its like stirring porridge....

In the first instance, the alloy quick shift plate from Machine7 - it will remove a lot of the movement but the slop will still be there. It's what I've done and it helps enormously. Following on from that, change the front plastic bush (the first lnk) and ideally, the coupling that joins the...

    Swing out cooker hinge wanted

Think I might have one in the workshop - I'll check later when I get up there.

Very nice white over beige pop-top in Hemel Hempstead on Saturday (27 July). Lots of waving, clapping and so on.
