Wheel Arches are flat on my 1972 Crossover?

That's good to know. I don't need them changing but if they ever do then I will be getting some. Thanks

Wheel Arches are flat on my 1972 Crossover?

Ha ha top man Andy, I don't like to keep troubling you. Now I know though many thanks. I have been through the 80 odd pages a few times and my brain is small so it only handles little bits. But thanks. Thought they were too sharp to be original but thought it could have been a like for like...

Wheel Arches are flat on my 1972 Crossover?

Both are good it's just I had a conversation with someone earlier and they said they shouldn't be flat as the parts people say 72 - 79 are curved and not flat. If yours is a 72 and have flat I am happy they are the right ones. My M Plate says production was June 72 so I guess the 71 flat ones...

Wheel Arches are flat on my 1972 Crossover?

Just as a matter of interest. Should mine be Flat or rounded. All the Wing specs state the 72 should have rounded but mine are flat. Was wondering if mine was one that was a flat from a crossover or someone added them after the van needed some new ones.

    Engine Lid 72 Crossover

Can someone advise if the Engine lid on a 72 Crossover is different to a 72-79 Engine lid. I know some have hooks for the hinge but the ones that have hinges will they fit straight on. If not what's the actual differnce for the 72?

It looked new but was definitely weeping. But as it was unbranded and I wanted to get back to Stock it was the only way(Solex).

Indicator Cancelling help needed on a 72 Crossover

So one of my niggly jobs is to get the steering wheel to cancel the indicator arm. I currently have a gap of maybe 12 mm from steering wheel to support from dash. I have looked up how to do this but can't find anything anywhere. I have found a video on later models and there is a retaining Shear...

Replacement or repair. Well as my previous post kinda went against the grain I hope this will keep me in the good books. So whilst I was finding TDC with the Crank pully I could hear a sucking from the carb, specifically where the throttle bush is. I had a little weep of petrol there which I was...

So the coild decided to pack up. So I looked online. Replacement Bosch was crazy money so I looked at the Electronic ignition as a matter of course to see what I would need if I was to replace and upgrade/downgrade. Of course the purist in me says stick sith points and plugs. So I found a setup...

The Clutch peddle bolts were a little lose and the curve on the peddle was bent. Which meant It was making it do what it wanted to do. It was real nasty hearing that metal to metal. Tightened all the adjoining bolts and bent the clutch peddle back. 10 minute job but probably the most satifying...

Carb Decisions Solex Refurb or new EMPI

So then I have found a guy on ebay called Jon from Wakefield. He refurbs Solex Carbs. Which I like the sound of. Or it's a new EMPI carb from Heritage. Question is? What's the best. I have a standard stock 1.6 engine and the current carb is an unbranded and has a leak on the throttle bush, so...

Fuel Sender update, removal, repair and reinstall. This ended up being an easy repair and I would encourage anyone to at least have a go. I am no electronics whizz but a soldering iron and some Nichrome wire has me a working 1972 Fuel Sender. The actual fix took me a few hours as it's a real...

Well I found out the reason for fuel guage not working correctly. I had already tested the guage and the wire from the guage to the sender junction under the wheel arch. It was pointing to the fuels sender so I went in search of the issue. No tube on the sende and the Nichrome wire was...
