    My New SO67R Camper

Once Graham and Dave (more Dave from what I believe :) ) had worked their magic, it was in with a 'proper' aircooled 1600 and a new recon gearbox (from Bears Motorsport) and the MOT was no problem, I then stood in a long queue at the DVLA to become the first UK owner of VUK 192H! I picked the...

Hello All! I've been meaning to update this thread for quite a while now, been very busy getting the bus ready for our trip to France (see other gallery thread). Anyway back now and I can actually update - here are some of the last pics I have of the bus before it left Midland Early Bay, still...

Need help finding out the history of my bus !!!!

Hi, I'm sure someone will explain this in more detail however if your bus was built in SA then you're gonna be struggling for m-codes. I've got a S067R and have had similar problems, SA buses were made as kits in primer in Germany then put together and painted with optional extras fitted in SA...

    Introducing Mr Brightside's Midlands Makeover............

Hi, I don't post on the forum that much, eventhough I use it religiously for a resource, but I just had to comment on this. I remember seeing your bus in Graham's place last year, (mine was te SA Westy in there at the time). Back then it was in it's Sierra Yellow which I liked and when I...

    Wanted interior light and/or switches

Not sure about the cover, I know gadgetboy had some for sale on here but it was the complete unit. As for the switches, depending on how much of purist you are you could buy complete repro switches from maplin, although the rings don't have the westy style ridges on them...

    Alternator pulley fouling

Not particularly, not when the engine is running anyway, when I spin it by hand I can hear it though, It's obviously not a regular problem then!

    Alternator pulley fouling

Hi, I've noticed a few score marks on the face of the alternator and am pretty sure it's the pulley, is it something I should worry about or is it merely a case of putting a washer between the two? Thanks, Matt

    Where to store factory jack?

Hi, I have a bulkhead bus with a double passenger seat (although walkthroughs maybe the same) and am wondering how exactly to position the jack to secure it underneath the seat? I seem to have an open top clip and also a strangely shaped 'U' type clip that nowhere near fits! Just wondering...

    replace icebox?

Welcome! I've replaced my icebox (well, I didn't have one anyway) For a 12v coolbox, I don't really know the difference between a Coolbox and a fridge, anyway, mine is an Igloo Coolchill 40 It's an upright unit so the door opens the proper way too, seems to work for me!

    Camping in Paris

Hi Matt, We've booked three nights at a campsite called, 'Huttopia Versailles'. I can't vouch for it as we're not going until July however it's out of the Cool Camping book and looks pretty sweet. It's on the doorstep of the palace of Versailles, 20mins from the Eiffel tower and very close to...

    Is Carcassonne too ambitious??

Thanks for all your info, my girlfriend came home with the 'cool camping' book from Waterstones (other, cheaper bookstores are available) and we've booked some sites from in there, the book seems really nice but only time will tell I guess - plus there's a late bay on the cover! :roll...

    Is Carcassonne too ambitious??

Hi, My girlfriend and I are planning our trip to France in July and ideally would like to get as far down as Carcassonne, it's the only place she really wants to go (Dam Kate Mosse books  ). We've planned a two week break but don't want to be travelling the whole time, would be nice to...

    Of Chrome and Quality....

Nope, it's £85 for a set of four, none too shabby if they last indefinitely (clips depending!)
